The overly chatty protocol droid of the original Star Wars trilogy wasn't always such a "Golden Boy." In Episode I we learn that none other than young Anakin Skywalker, an inveterate tinkerer, had given the rambling robot life--or at least transformed him from bundles of wire and spare parts into some semblance of droid-dom. The action figure rendition of this work-in-progress is authentically colorful and suitably spare. Includes a CommTech voice chip that says "I am C-3PO, human-cyborg relations," "What do you mean, naked?" and two other phrases; also interacts with Anakin Skywalker, R2-D2, and Padme Naberrie action figures. CommTech reader available separately. --Jerry McCulley
